We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead highway and bridge construction projects in Northern New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civil construction processes and a proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from initial planning through completion, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of highway and bridge construction projects from planning through execution and close-out.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring they align with contractual requirements.
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor safety, quality, and progress.
- Resolve issues related to site conditions, scheduling, or unforeseen challenges.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative environment and maintain effective communication among all project participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience managing highway and bridge construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, standards, and best practices specific to highway and bridge projects.
- Proven track record of managing large infrastructure projects, including budget and schedule management.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
