Overview: A prominent offshore wind developer is seeking an experienced Project Director to join their team in Taipei, Taiwan. This role focuses on leading the full project life cycle of a single offshore wind farm. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale renewable energy projects and a strong track record in delivering offshore wind farms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of an offshore wind farm project from inception to completion.
Oversee all project phases, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Report project progress, issues, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.
Foster strong relationships with local authorities, communities, and partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in offshore wind or renewable energy projects.
Proven track record of successfully leading the full project life cycle of offshore wind farms.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
