We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Development Executive to join our team and drive the successful development of energy efficiency projects.
Position Overview: The Project Development Executive will play a critical role in the development and management of energy efficiency projects, particularly those involving federal clients. This position will require a deep understanding of energy modeling, auditing, and sustainability consulting, as well as a strong background in managing complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project development within the ESCO industry, with a focus on federal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of energy efficiency and sustainability projects from concept through implementation, focusing on federal sector opportunities.
- Perform energy audits, energy modeling, and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for energy savings and sustainability improvements.
- Develop comprehensive project proposals, including technical solutions, financial models, and risk assessments, tailored to federal clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure project viability and compliance with federal regulations.
- Manage and mentor a small team of engineers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on federal energy policies, regulations, and incentives that impact project development and execution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal sector, expanding the company's portfolio of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainability consulting, with at least 5 years focused on federal projects.
- Extensive experience in energy modeling, auditing, and developing energy-saving strategies for multifamily and commercial buildings.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of federal energy efficiency programs, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
