In this role, you will directly manage a wide range of projects that align with the company's core practices in contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental due diligence, litigation support, and regulatory coordination. The projects are often fast-paced and require a strong commitment to quality and client service.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Professional licensure in Oregon.
- At least 15 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including experience in site investigation, characterization, and remediation in Washington State.
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external, to conduct Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Studies for remediation projects with varying levels of complexity.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
- Experience working with the Oregon State Department of Environmental Quality, including both formal and voluntary cleanups.
- In-depth understanding of project and financial performance metrics, the ability to assess project risks, and manage long-term liabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare proposals, reports, and formal cleanup documentation such as Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study reports, Cleanup Action Plans, and Cleanup Action Reports.
- Ability to collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers on business development efforts.
- Willingness to travel as required for project and business development work.
- A strong commitment to safety, including knowledge of State and Federal health and safety requirements.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Expertise in emerging contaminants, sediments, or other specific environmental disciplines.
- Experience as a consulting or testifying expert on matters related to hazardous substances, environmental fate and transport, or regulatory compliance.
- Existing client relationships.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120).
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.
Salary Range
The estimated base salary range for this position in the Portland Metro Area is $150,000 - $200,000. Compensation will be determined based on individual factors such as education, experience, and internal equity. The salary range is reviewed and updated annually, and employees are eligible for performance-based pay increases. This salary is just one part of our total compensation package for our employee-owners.
