Job Title: Managing Consultant, M&A Due Diligence

Job summary: We are seeking candidates for Managing Consultant and/or Senior Managing Consultant roles to support our global M&A Transactional Due Diligence practice. Ideal candidates will have a strong consulting background with extensive experience in managing complex transactional due diligence projects, conducting Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs), and performing limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities or sites with extensive industrial histories. Additionally, candidates should have experience assisting clients with post-transaction integration.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating environmental due diligence projects for various sectors, including industrial, private equity, and legal clients.
- Overseeing and assisting with environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities.
- Providing support to clients in compliance permitting, reporting, and record keeping.
- Preparing proposals and cost estimates for due diligence and compliance projects, managing project budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of client outcomes.
- Reviewing site investigation reports and offering conclusions and recommendations regarding contamination levels and necessary follow-up actions.
- Taking a lead role in client communications and facilitating client discussions.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in an environmental field (e.g., geology, engineering, environmental science) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities.
- Experience in developing proposals, preparing cost estimates for due diligence projects, managing project budgets, and maintaining client communications.
- Proven expertise in the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites.
- Background in providing multi-media compliance support.
- Certification as an Environmental Professional in accordance with the ASTM E1527-21 Standard.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews for complex industrial sites.
- Familiarity with emerging contaminants, ESG initiatives, product stewardship, health and safety regulations, process safety management (PSM), DOT requirements, and/or international regulations is beneficial.
