Job Title: Project Manager
What You'll Do: As a Project Manager, you'll lead projects to restore power quickly during emergencies. You'll plan, coordinate, and execute these projects, making sure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Create detailed project plans with goals, timelines, and resources needed.
Work with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
Set up clear communication and reporting methods.
Resource Management:
Allocate and mobilize resources like personnel, equipment, and materials.
Coordinate with teams and contractors to meet project schedules.
Monitor resource use and adjust as needed.
Emergency Response:
Develop and maintain plans for emergencies like power outages and storms.
Conduct drills and simulations to test response plans.
Work with emergency management agencies and other utility companies.
Risk Management:
Identify and address project risks.
Create contingency plans for potential issues.
Monitor and manage risks throughout the project.
Quality Control:
Set quality standards for project deliverables.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality.
Implement corrective actions to improve quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the electric utility or emergency response sector.
Proven success in managing complex projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
