Manage and operate audio equipment and systems during live events. The successful candidate will oversee the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of audio feeds to ensure high-quality sound production and recording. The Live Events Audio Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members and collaborate with other technical staff to deliver seamless audio experiences for audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the audio production team during live events.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior audio engineers.
- Plan and design audio system layouts, including speaker placement and equipment setup.
- Set up, configure, and operate audio equipment such as microphones, mixers, and soundboards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot audio feeds in real-time during events.
- Coordinate with video, lighting, and other technical staff for synchronized production.
- Breakdown and maintain audio equipment post-event.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, manage contracts and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with audio production standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in live event audio production and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of audio formats, mixing techniques, and sound reinforcement.
- Experience leading and managing a team of audio engineers.
- Proficiency with audio equipment and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and negotiate contracts and proposals.
- Experience ensuring compliance with audio production standards.
