We are looking for a Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary Design and Planning Studio. This position involves leading landscape design and planning projects while collaborating on architectural, urban design, and community planning initiatives. Our projects, which range from small to medium scale, cater to public, nonprofit, and private clients. Planning efforts include trail and park system master planning, as well as conducting ecological and open space evaluations to support campus or comprehensive planning. This role will be integral to our firm's dedication to creating socially equitable, resilient, and environmentally sustainable environments.

Design Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage landscape design projects, including parks, green infrastructure, streetscapes, and outdoor spaces.
- Oversee the landscape components of urban design and architectural projects.
- Direct landscape planning and urban design initiatives.
- Collaborate on other Design and Planning Studio projects that focus on the public realm.
- Conduct GIS and urban analyses for landscape, urban design, and planning projects, including computational workflows.
- Manage ecological assessments and design with an emphasis on biotic systems, working alongside ecologists, civil engineers, and other specialists.
Delivery and Management Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, landscape architects, engineers, artists, and other experts.
- Prepare and manage design documentation, create presentation materials for public and client meetings, and develop final report content and layouts.
- Organize and lead project meetings, overseeing daily interactions with project team members, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Plan and facilitate community engagement, including setting project goals and conducting design workshops.
- Develop 3D models and renderings using computational tools.
- Assist in evaluating potential projects and contributing to proposals and marketing materials.
- Support project delivery with additional tasks as requested by Principals and Associates.
Professional Development Responsibilities:
- Obtain or maintain a landscape architect license.
- Participate in or lead firm and community volunteer efforts, representing the profession and the firm.
- Engage in opportunities for professional growth and learning.
- Contribute to and help shape the office culture at evolveEA.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in all phases of landscape design projects.
- A professional degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
- Strong spatial and graphic design skills.
- Solid technical expertise, including experience with design documentation and specification preparation.
- Knowledge of planting, stormwater management, and sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, ArcGIS, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to sustainability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, multitask, and work flexibly.
- Strong project management abilities; organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven.
- Landscape architect license or eligibility is required.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with Python and/or VRay.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Parks & Recreation Professional, AICP, ENVISION, LEED AP, or LFA.
- A master's degree in landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, sustainability, or a related field.
