This firm is looking for a Vice President for the Dallas, TX office, where this engineer will have 15+ years of experience in land development, including single-family and multi-family residential development, and commercial and/or industrial site development projects. This position will require you to conduct business development, mentor your team, initial project research, management of plan and production staff, plan processing and management of plan efforts, construction administration, and project closing.
Requirements:
- P.E License in Texas
- BSc in Civil Engineering or relevant degree
- Minimum 15 Years of experience in land development - commercial or residential development.
- Able to work independently in a team environment and manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
- Great verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Able to train and mentor staff / review work for quality assurance.
- Solid leadership and management skills - self-motivated, strong ability to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems.
- Experience in AUTOCAD & CIVIL 3D is a plus.
- Client Relationship- able to develop relationships with clients - communication and problem-solving.
Brief Responsibilities:
- Function as a Vice President / Principal in charge.
- Identify the contracts, clients, and new work that can be brought in.
- Train and mentor your staff/ review the quality of work.
- Grow out the land development group in the Dallas, TX office.
- Ensure project managers have the resources to meet the scheduling and budgets.
- Interface daily with clients - develop proposals and negotiate scopes and fees.
- Strategic planning for the land development market.
- Prepare the project work plan.
- Manage the preparation of the designs and construction drawings.
- Direct staff
- Quality check - ensure measures are being adhered to on project delivery.
- Lead high-level design calls with clients / prepare monthly forecasting and client cost estimates.
