Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the water and wastewater industry, with expertise in instrumentation and controls, and hold a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Prepare detailed engineering documents, including design drawings, technical specifications, and control narratives.
- Perform instrument sizing calculations and selection, and prepare instrumentation datasheets.
- Develop and review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Configure and program control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and DCS systems.
- Conduct quality reviews of engineering documents and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Interface with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Participate in client and project review meetings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry.
- Proficiency in instrumentation and control systems design and implementation.
- Experience with NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
- Familiar with power system applications.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
