As a Groundwater Modeler, you will play a crucial role in developing and analyzing groundwater models to support various projects related to water resources, environmental impact assessments, and remediation efforts. You will leverage your expertise in MODFLOW and other groundwater modeling software to provide valuable insights and solutions to our clients. This position has the opportunity to sit remote in the Pacific Northwest or Northern California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and calibrate groundwater models using MODFLOW and other modeling software.
- Conduct analyses of groundwater flow and transport processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and address groundwater-related issues.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Stay updated on regional groundwater regulations and best practices in Washington and California.
- Provide support for field investigations and data collection as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in groundwater modeling, specifically in Washington State and California.
- Proficiency in MODFLOW and other groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODPATH, GMS).
- Strong understanding of hydrogeological principles and groundwater management practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.
