About Us:
We are representing a leading engineering firm specializing in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. They have offices across the East Coast. Currently, with their backlog of projects, they are seeking a Geotechnical Department Manager to oversee the division and the multiple markets they cover. These include Transportation, Renewable, Industrial, Commercial and Municipal projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional engineering oversight of all geotechnical projects in Philadelphia
- Provide engineering support to construction phase testing and special inspections projects in Philadelphia
- Oversee Quality System Management (QSM) program of the laboratory in preparation of becoming AASHTO accredited
- Provide technical support to other offices
- Maintain Client Relationships
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering preferred (MS Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- At least 2 years of experience as a Professional Engineer in a responsible role, including authoring and reviewing engineering reports and signing off on engineering deliverables
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the geotechnical field
- Project experience must include site development, foundations, retaining walls, and pavements
