We have partnered up with an exciting Singapore renewable energy start-up to hire a Finance Manager to expand their Korea team.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the company. This includes overseeing financial reporting, payroll, budget planning, and control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and taxes. Maintain payroll records and handle any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
- Budget Planning and Control: Develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget. Track and analyze financial performance against the budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including the executive team, investors, and employees.
- System Improvement: Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA/CFA qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a startup or fast-growing company.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll management, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
