Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated District Engineer to oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent project management skills, and a passion for improving public utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team.
- Conduct public outreach and respond to community inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
