Title: Director of Government Affairs
Salary: $140,000 - $220,000
Overview and Company Summary: One of the nation's largest IPPs and a leader in clean energy with a strong track record of solar and battery storage projects developed are seeking a Director of Government Affairs to join their Permitting and Policy department covering North and South Carolina and Southeast region. The position will facilitate the growth of the development team with legislative policies, strategies for increasing product sale, and developing a network of industry professionals and stakeholders.
Responsible For:
- Implementing state legislative and regulatory policy strategies
- Networking and maintaining relationships with state officials relevant to the renewable energy industry
- Working closely with the development team and handling state level policies that may impact their department
- Working with trade associations and lobbyists
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of energy policy and state level legislative and regulatory experience
- Established network of state officials in the Southeast
- Engaged with lobbyist and trade associations in the region
- Experience in project development, specifically utility scale projects
