Civil Engineering Manager

Position Requirements:
- Experience managing project teams and coordinating civil design with land use planning and surveying components.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with civil design using Civil3D.
- Ability to oversee a variety of project types including site development, stormwater management, and community development projects.
- Experience mentoring civil design staff.
- Active role in developing and sustaining clients, networking within the industry, and working with leadership to set and meet company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, coordinate, plan, and administer small to medium-sized site civil projects.
- Manage and mentor civil staff, helping them set and meet professional goals.
- Establish and maintain client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Coordinate civil design with land use planning and surveying components, and oversee administrative aspects of the department.
- Ensure the integrity and completeness of all civil designs with strong QA/QC procedures.
- Actively engage in professional organizations and industry events.
- Assist with civil project billing and aged A/R.
- Schedule staff workload to meet deadlines with deliverables.
- Perform Senior Project Manager duties.
- Work with Marketing to provide technical information for RFP pursuits.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
- Oregon PE required; licensing in other states is a plus.
- 10+ years of engineering experience with a background in site and civil design, including a combination of roadway, traffic, stormwater, irrigation design, and utility relocations.
- Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards and environmental conditions/constraints.
- Proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
- Skill in developing relationships with municipal, county, and state agencies in support of civil site development projects.
- Experience managing a project team.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and MS software applications (including MS Project).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clients, staff, agencies, and management.
- Experience with project estimating, labor allocations, and cost accounting methods for project management.
- Ability to work in-office at headquarters. This is a fully on-site position.
