Join us as the Manager of Wildfire Risk Management and lead the charge in safeguarding our clients' transmission platforms. In this role, you will be pivotal in crafting and managing our Wildfire Mitigation Plans (WMP), identifying and assessing wildfire risks, developing effective mitigation strategies, and enhancing operational awareness across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wildfire Mitigation Plans (WMP): Develop, update, and continuously refine WMPs to address and manage wildfire risks effectively.
- Ongoing Initiatives: Track and report on mitigation initiatives within the organization to ensure compliance and effectiveness, and communicate with regulatory authorities as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Lead and oversee compliance actions related to WMPs, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company as an expert in process improvement, regulatory filings, data requests, and various stakeholder groups. Share best practices and maintain industry contacts through external forums.
- Project Management: Build and manage processes and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring successful completion and alignment with organizational goals
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, science, technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of five years in a related industry, with at least two years focused on wildfire mitigation activities in a utility or consulting setting.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- Experienced with web-based communication and safety management systems.
- Knowledgeable in regulatory reporting and recordkeeping (OSHA, ANSI, EPA).
- Skilled in developing communication materials and articulating complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Advanced proficiency in office productivity applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
