The Role:
This hybrid position is based in Perth, WA. You will ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia and relevant state regulations, undertaking a full range of building surveying duties. Additionally, you will contribute to company performance targets, market to new clients, and maintain relationships with existing clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience across various aspects of the business and a variety of projects.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections in accordance with state legislation.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of design documentation and provide recommendations to achieve compliance with the NCC, Australian Standards, and state legislation.
- Review and issue regulatory certificates for design/construction compliance (BA3 CDC/BA17 CCC/BA18 CBC).
- Participate in business development activities, including engaging with existing clients, attending industry events, and following up on new client leads.
- Assess project documentation, liaise with clients, and make compliance recommendations based on relevant industry building codes.
- Mediate with clients regarding delivery times and offer solutions.
- Manage documents and prepare technical reports.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 Practitioner License preferred (not required)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with commercial projects
- Driver's license
- Australian Citizen / PR / Permit to work
Ideal Experience and Skills:
- Experience with large, complex commercial projects, a bonus would be experience in the private industry.
- Attention to detail and proven ability to write and review reports effectively.
- Professional attitude, friendly personality, and self-motivated.
