A national ESOP environmental consulting firm is looking for an Air Quality Project Manager to join their team in Houston, TX.
As an Air Quality Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to air quality improvement and pollution control. Your primary goal is to ensure successful project execution, adherence to regulatory requirements, and the achievement of air quality objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of environmental regulations, technical expertise in air quality monitoring and control systems, and strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements in coordination with stakeholders and team members.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local, state, and federal air quality regulations and ensure that projects are designed and executed in full compliance with the relevant guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather support, obtain necessary permits, and ensure smooth project implementation.
Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and optimize resources to achieve cost-effective project delivery.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in air quality monitoring techniques, emission control technologies, and pollution mitigation strategies to make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address any challenges that may arise during the project execution.
Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of air quality data and project outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for various stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and clear communication to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovative solutions, and new technologies to enhance air quality projects effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7-10 years) in managing air quality projects, preferably in an industrial or consulting setting.
- Strong knowledge of air quality regulations and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in air quality monitoring equipment and emission control technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, organization, and resource allocation.
- Ability to interpret and analyze air quality data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully leading teams to achieve project goals.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex air quality challenges.
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and environmental compliance audits is a plus.
