Role Overview: We're looking for a mid-level Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work on a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects, providing engineering support from initial design through to implementation. You'll work alongside senior engineers, but with plenty of opportunities to lead tasks, manage aspects of projects, and grow your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform site assessments, data collection, and analysis to support project planning and design.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, construction managers, and contractors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in existing treatment facilities.
- Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-15 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment design and operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and other local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and process modeling tools.
- PE Licensed in California
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a practical approach.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
