Opportunity: Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the implementation of water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client expectations. You will collaborate with a team of talented professionals and play a key role in delivering sustainable and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water and wastewater engineering projects from conception to completion, including design, construction oversight, and project management.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments to determine project viability and potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders, to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, analysis, and simulations to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Foster strong client relationships by effectively communicating project progress, addressing concerns, and delivering high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 90 days.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, distribution/collection systems, and infrastructure design.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
