What Will You Contribute?
As the Owner's Agent/Representative, you will act as the client's representative on linear infrastructure projects, ensuring their interests are met throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the client's interests to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Ensuring projects meet client requirements, budgets, schedules, and regulatory guidelines.
- Acting as the central point of contact between the client and various project stakeholders (architects, engineers, contractors, agencies).
- Guiding delivery methods, including assessing collaborative delivery and contracting strategies.
- Developing procurement strategies, overseeing negotiations, and supporting project delivery.
- Managing risks, schedules, costs, and reporting on project progress.
- Implementing best practices for quality, process, permitting, and collaborative delivery.
- Facilitating communication and maintaining alignment between all stakeholders, including operations and maintenance teams.
- Providing full project and construction management support for design-build projects.
What We're Looking For
- Educational Requirements: B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred) from an ABET-accredited program.
- Certifications: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive technical design experience in the consulting industry, with expertise in water and wastewater pipeline design. Experience with alternative delivery methods is a plus.
- Skills: Strong technical background, excellent presentation and communication skills, proven ability to work in a team environment, and experience leading client-facing engagements.
- Affiliations: Active participation in professional organizations such as the Water Environment Federation (WEF) or American Water Works Association (AWWA) is a plus.
- Recognition: Local, regional, or national recognition as an industry leader, with publication and conference presentation experience, is preferred.
