A global environmental solutions MNC is looking for a Water Resources Leader / Head of Water Resources in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to water resources, developing business strategies, and enhancing our service offerings. The Water Resources Leader will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our water resources division and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water resources projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement business strategies to expand the water resources division.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on water resources management, flood mitigation, stormwater, hydrology, and related areas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets (with Malaysian Government and International stakeholders).
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate water resources solutions into broader environmental and infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in water resources management, hydrology, or related areas.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing water resources projects.
- Strong business development skills and experience in client relationship management.
- Experienced leading a team
- Proficiency in water resources modeling software and tools (e.g., MIKE, HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English
