Our client is seeking a Water Facilities Team Leader in Overland Park, KS, to develop and maintain a portfolio of profitable water/wastewater projects. These projects involve the study, planning, design, and implementation of treatment facilities for water and wastewater. Position Overview:
The Water Facilities Team Leader will take a key role in planning, designing, and managing a wide range of water and wastewater treatment facility projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a highly skilled team to execute projects effectively.
- Project Management: Prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for proposals; manage project execution to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Design Expertise: Oversee planning, design, bidding, and construction administration for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Business Development: Develop and maintain a strong workload by building positive relationships with clients across Kansas.
- Client Service Management: Maintain a healthy network of client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Kansas
- 8+ years of experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment facilities
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Proficiency with presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of experience supporting municipalities in Kansas
- Experience presenting technical topics related to water/wastewater treatment at state or national conferences
- Established relationships with multiple Kansas municipal water and wastewater utilities
