We are currently seeking a skilled Senior VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Coordinator to join one of our clients - a forward-thinking construction firm known for leveraging advanced BIM technologies to deliver exceptional projects.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior VDC Coordinator with a background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) or experience at a General Contractor (GC). In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading VDC initiatives, optimizing BIM processes, and ensuring seamless project coordination across diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage VDC/BIM coordination efforts across multiple projects to ensure effective integration and execution.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and subcontractors to enhance MEP coordination and overall construction workflows.
- Develop, manage, and maintain 3D models for clash detection, coordination, and construction sequencing.
- Organize and lead BIM coordination meetings, providing technical insights and resolving design conflicts.
- Implement and uphold BIM standards and best practices to maintain high-quality project deliverables.
- Support preconstruction teams by developing 4D and 5D models for scheduling and cost estimation.
- Mentor and guide junior VDC team members, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in VDC/BIM coordination, preferably within MEP systems or at a General Contractor.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and construction workflows.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
