Our client, a local civil consulting firm, is looking for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to oversee transportation design and engineering projects in Tacoma, WA. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington with at least 7 years of experience in transportation engineering, including 2+ years in project management. As a key leader, you will manage transportation infrastructure projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage transportation design and engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead design efforts for roadway, highway, and intersection improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and public agencies.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering staff.
- Conduct quality control reviews and ensure project deliverables meet client standards.
- Drive business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including project management.
- Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of WSDOT standards and regulations.
