Our client is an award winning firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Project Manager specializing in Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) with a keen focus on business development. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage transportation projects remotely while actively engaging in cultivating and expanding business relationships with TxDOT.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage transportation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) in accordance with TxDOT standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to expand business opportunities, including identifying potential projects and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company's services and capabilities to decision-makers.
- Collaborate with the business development team to prepare proposals, presentations, and other materials to support marketing efforts.
Remote Leadership:
- Provide remote leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Utilize project management tools and technology to facilitate remote project execution, tracking, and reporting.
- Foster a positive and productive remote work environment, promoting team cohesion and morale.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of PS&E deliverables, adhering to TxDOT standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management, with a focus on Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for TxDOT projects.
- Proven track record of successful business development with TxDOT, including the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- Strong understanding of TxDOT procedures, standards, and guidelines related to project development and delivery.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, demonstrating self-motivation, initiative, and adaptability.
