Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Lead in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) and established connections with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This role involves leading transportation projects, managing project teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in compliance with TxDOT standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of transportation projects, with a focus on CEI.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with TxDOT and other key stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with TxDOT regulations and standards.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues or delays.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Represent the company at meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and building relationships with potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on CEI.
- Proven track record of successfully managing TxDOT projects.
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
