Job Title: Transportation Engineering Project Manager
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Position Overview: The Transportation Engineering Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and execution of transportation and roadway infrastructure projects. This leader will play a key role in project delivery, client management, business development, and team leadership, contributing to the firm's continued success and growth in the Detroit region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the transportation engineering practice in Detroit and surrounding areas.
- Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of transportation and roadway projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality standards.
- Client Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, including MDOT, municipalities, and other agencies.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities, lead proposal development, and participate in interviews to secure new work.
- Technical Expertise: Provide oversight and guidance on complex transportation engineering projects, ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and technical excellence.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, forecast revenue, and contribute to the division's profitability goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan (or ability to obtain within 6 month
- 7+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including project management and design roles.
- Proven experience working with MDOT and other local agencies.
- Strong technical expertise in transportation planning, design, and project delivery utilizing MicroStation and OpenRoads
