The successful candidate will have experience in designing and managing transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, highways, and drainage systems. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and monitor project progress.
- Perform traffic analysis and modeling to support project planning and design.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
- Participate in public meetings and stakeholder consultations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
- Experience with traffic analysis and modeling software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
