Position: Technical Manager
Role Overview: The Technical Manager will lead and manage the processes involved in the development, definition, scope, and implementation of solar farm projects. This role requires providing expert technical advice and guidance across all engineering disciplines to stakeholders, ensuring successful project development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in and evaluate solar farm designs.
- Conduct initial due diligence for solar farms under development, including site surveys and grid system quality assessments.
- Supervise the grid connection study process.
- Liaise with NSPs and AEMO to offer grid connection insights for our Australian portfolio.
- Assist in preparing tender and bidding documentation.
- Provide technical support during asset divestment to investors.
- Communicate technical updates to both headquarters and local teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 3 years of experience as a technical manager in the solar sector, with a focus on project implementation and technical support from development to delivery.
- Strong understanding of the photovoltaic industry, including knowledge of photovoltaic arrays, inverters, transformers, grid connection, and power transmission.
- Familiarity with the grid interconnection process in the Australian market.
- Knowledge of battery systems is advantageous.
- Experience with utility-scale solar farm construction.
- Proficiency in OFFICE, AUTO CAD, PVSYST, and other relevant software.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
