Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Surveying Technician to join our team in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting various types of surveys and will be proficient in using modern surveying instruments and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and adjust surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and as-built surveys.
- Compile information for staking projects using engineering plans.
- Process survey data and create detailed survey maps and reports.
- Perform construction staking and layout for various projects.
- Utilize Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads Designer for survey data processing.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all surveying tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in land surveying.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads Designer.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
