Survey Crew Member - Field Surveying
One of our top clients in Michigan is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Member in the Brighton area to perform field surveys for engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct various types of surveys including boundary, construction, topographic, and corridor surveys.
- Operate survey equipment like GPS, total stations, and levels.
- Perform calculations and read survey maps and plans.
- Take clear, accurate notes and check survey data.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a strong background in math and geometry.
- 5+ years of experience with survey instruments and fieldwork.
- Knowledge of survey methods, staking, and marking.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Must be able to work in different environments and weather conditions.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to identify and correct measurement errors.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
- Long periods of standing, walking, and fieldwork.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with potential overtime or weekend work.
