A leading client in Michigan is looking for an experienced Survey Crew Member to conduct field surveys for engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of surveys, including boundary, construction, topographic, and corridor surveys.
- Operate survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and levels.
- Conduct calculations and interpret survey maps and plans.
- Record clear, accurate notes and verify survey data.
- Assist with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and geometry.
- Over 5 years of experience with survey instruments and fieldwork.
- Proficient in survey methods, staking, and marking.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work in diverse environments and weather conditions.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to identify and correct measurement errors.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working in various outdoor conditions.
- Able to stand, walk, and perform fieldwork for extended periods.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with potential for overtime or weekend work.
