Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple major projects, managing staff organization and planning
- Lead façade, roof, plaza, and garage restoration projects
- Supervise building envelope inspections and restoration design
- Conduct Local Law 11/FISP reporting, including site inspections, condition assessments, and DOB documentation
- Perform building inspections via ground-level, rooftop, lift, and scaffold access
- Design structural solutions for restoration projects and renovations
- Conduct structural analysis using RAM, STAAD, and/or RISA
- Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and reports
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships
- Develop project scopes and estimate time/staff utilization for proposals
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in restoration engineering
- 5+ years of Local Law 11/FISP experience (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Experience overseeing major restoration projects, including landmark buildings
- Strong background in project management for façade, roof, plaza, and garage restoration
- Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Proficiency in Local Law 11 reporting, structural design, and restoration analysis
- Hands-on experience with building inspections from various access points (ground, roof, lifts, scaffolding)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Experience working in the New York City market
