Job Description: Structural Engineer Project Manager
Position Overview: The Structural Engineer Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing various structural engineering projects. This role requires a strong background in structural engineering principles, project management, and effective communication skills. The individual in this position will oversee project teams, ensure timely and accurate project delivery, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence.
- Provide technical expertise in structural design, analysis, and compliance with codes and standards.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and maintaining high-quality work.
- Act as the main client contact, addressing needs, presenting progress, and nurturing relationships.
- Develop and manage project budgets, optimizing resource allocation and cost control.
- Implement quality control measures, reviewing deliverables for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and codes, ensuring project designs align with local and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of North Carolina (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering and 1 year of experience in project management.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as REVIT or AutoCad
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing project teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
