Job Overview:
LVI Associates is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our client's team in San Jose. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design and analysis, working on diverse projects such as commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design for a variety of building types.
- Develop detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to design specifications.
- Utilize advanced structural modeling and analysis software such as SAP2000, ANSYS, and RISA.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all designs.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Effectively manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California or the ability to obtain one.
- At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ANSYS, RISA).
- Strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
