Position Summary: The company is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their collaborative team at their downtown Milwaukee corporate headquarters. Remote work opportunities may also be considered. Projects include a diverse range of parking structures for public and private clients, including stand-alone, underground, and mixed-use buildings. The role involves designing new parking facilities, managing projects, and coordinating multiple disciplines. Additionally, the position focuses on the repair and restoration of existing parking facilities and other concrete structures. This role offers the chance to join a well-established parking and restoration group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex structural systems with minimal supervision.
- Act as a technical structural resource for the design team.
- Lead the design of new building and renovation projects.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines and attend client project meetings.
- Mentor less experienced staff members.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural focus.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in structural design, with an interest in parking structures and restoration of existing buildings. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
- EIT certification; professional registration as a PE is advantageous.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, principles of reinforced concrete design, and REVIT. Experience with precast, prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and/or parking structures is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
