Sr. Project Manager Land Development : $125,000-145,000
A San Diego-based civil firm with over 25 years of history in the city is adding a Sr. Project Manager to their team of designers, project engineers, planners, and surveyors. The company provides a full range of survey, planning, and civil engineering services to both public and private clients. The team works on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. The diversity of projects and their reputation has kept their workload consistent as they look to grow their civil engineering team over the course of this year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting Drainage Studies and preparing SWQMP, WQTR, and WQMP documents, with a strong background in land development design.
- In-depth knowledge of hydrology, stormwater management, and related regulations.
- Professional Engineering license in California is mandatory.
- Capability to design, lead, and manage site preparation, paving, site improvements, access roads, curbs, gutters, guardrails, retaining walls, road striping, signage, and other related tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the successful execution and delivery of clients' infrastructure and development projects.
- Oversee various land planning and development projects, lead project teams, and ensure technical accuracy, financial success, and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance and set project objectives to ensure accurate and efficient project completion.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring accountability to clients' needs and expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with other consultants and project design teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project budgets, establish budget costs and schedules, and monitor profitability, taking necessary actions to control costs and handle Contract Change Orders or accounting-related matters.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including preparing qualifications and proposals to secure new projects.
- Lead and develop assigned staff, defining their responsibilities and career paths.
- Review designs, reports, written opinions, and other project documents for quality and accuracy before submission to approving agencies or clients.
- Lead the development of design concepts, specifications, timelines, and cost projections.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to assemble and guide teams, oversee project progress, establish deadlines, troubleshoot challenges, manage finances, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate project effectiveness, including team performance.
- Conduct design evaluations in alignment with quality standards and best practices.
