Note: This position will be supporting projects based in Mexico. Requires valid travel documentation to legally travel between the United States and Mexico.
Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer delivers engineering and consulting services across a wide range of projects and disciplines. Responsibilities include conducting field investigations, performing engineering analyses and calculations, making recommendations, and preparing comprehensive reports. The position is also responsible for reviewing drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, prepares Request for Proposals (RFPs) and cost estimates, monitors project progress and budgets, and proposes adjustments as needed. Additionally, the position researches and resolves design and construction challenges, applying sound engineering principles.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements entire project cycle of large, complex projects, including design, development, material procurement, construction, and project completion.
- Works with entry-level engineers to help develop process solutions, ensure code compliance, adhere to engineering standards, maintain company and safety standards, and follow good engineering practices.
- Works with both the operations and engineering teams as a technical lead, providing troubleshooting guidelines, engineering support, and field engineering support on complex problems, including cross-discipline issues involving multiple personnel components.
- Engages in the PSM process/activities, working with local PSM personnel. Helps maintain PSI, develops MOCs, conducts PSSRs, participates in PHAs/LOPAs, etc.
- Maintains process simulations and utilizes simulation files for troubleshooting, project development, training, and developing cost estimates.
- Works with the engineering and business development groups to assist in the development of projects and estimates.
- Reviews design of facilities and equipment from a process standpoint and provides specifications for equipment and instrumentation.
- Analyzes data and performs engineering calculations and analysis.
- Defines appropriate goals, works toward achieving goals, articulates vision and steps for achievement.
- Adheres to safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering required
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Engineering, Project Management, and/or Operations Support
- Experience with engineering analysis, including specialty software.
- Previous experience in the natural gas industry
Travel:
Travel required locally or long-distance 20-50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Equipment:
Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.
Mental and Physical Demands:
General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing up to 30 pounds.
Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions and deadlines.
May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
