Job Title: Smart Water Digital Twins Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Smart Water Digital Twins Engineer to join our team in Nebraska. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge digital twin technologies for smart water systems. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in water infrastructure and management.

Salary: $110,000+

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, deploy, and manage digital twin models to optimize smart water systems, including water supply networks, wastewater systems, and stormwater management.
Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis to support system performance, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
Integrate IoT devices, sensors, and data analytics into digital twin platforms for real-time system monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, environmental, and software engineers, to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
Analyze system data to identify operational inefficiencies, forecast future demand, and support decision-making processes.
Lead the development of visualization tools and dashboards for stakeholders to interact with and understand digital twin models.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding water systems and infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to present findings, propose solutions, and deliver project updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain within a defined time frame)
5+ years of experience in water resources engineering, hydraulic modeling, or similar roles
Proven experience with digital twin technology, water system modeling, or related software
Technical Skills & Software Expertise:
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as EPANET, InfoWorks ICM, or SWMM
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS for spatial data analysis and integration
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Dash
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or MATLAB) for data analysis and modeling automation
Understanding of IoT platforms, cloud computing, and SCADA systems
Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application to predictive analytics in water systems is a plus

Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
