Job Title: Site Superintendent
Rotation: 3 weeks on 1 week off
Job Description: We are seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee all trades and effectively manage daily on-site activities. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals, consultants, and clients while successfully directing sub-contractors and other construction-related personnel in planning, coordinating, and safely executing the work in accordance with contract documents, schedule, and budget. This individual will work closely with the Site Manager and fulfill an integral role on the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of the project schedule
- Review project plans and specifications; comment on design, scheduling, possible cost-saving measures, and potential construction issues
- Review and accept general construction and labor budgets
- Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements
- Communicate intelligently with the design team/client and effectively lead the trades
- Contact, schedule, and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers, and utilities
- Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis
- Raise and discuss relevant issues at job site meetings
- Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies, or omissions in the design drawings
- Maintain a safe job site and enforce Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
- Maintain installation practices throughout the project in compliance with client and quality standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required
- Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control
- Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of directly owned or rented equipment on the job site
- Control and monitor labor, material, and equipment expenses; assist in the preparation of monthly cost forecasting summaries
- Ensure that "as-built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period
- Coordinate all required municipal inspections
- Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists
- Maintain a culture of inclusion and support with all internal and external constituents
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on utility-scale solar projects
- High school graduate or equivalent; college or university degree in a construction-related field preferred
- Technical working knowledge of major trades: civil, electrical, structures, and mechanical
- Knowledge of construction safety requirements; OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Ability to sequence project schedules and scopes
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management skills to ensure all established project deadlines are achieved

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with computers and familiar with Google G Suite
