Job Description:
We have a current opportunity for a Service Technician, Wind on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Tokyo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of wind turbines, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of wind turbines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of turbine components as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve turbine performance.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens Gamesa wind turbines.
- Professional certification in wind turbine maintenance.
