My client is seeking a Senior Wildlife Biologist/Ecologist to join their Northern California teams! The new wildlife ecologists will join a team of specialized experts in ornithology, herpetology, and mammalogy. Our team leaders in the San Francisco Bay Area have extensive experience spanning over five decades, providing unmatched knowledge of local species, habitats, regulatory environments, and habitat plans.
Wildlife ecologists collaborate closely within our team and with experts in plant ecology, wetland ecology, restoration ecology, aquatic ecology, landscape architecture, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Project work primarily covers the Bay Area and the central California coast, with occasional assignments in other parts of Northern California.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in writing and editing technical reports, showcasing outstanding writing skills (e.g., evidenced through transcripts, personal references, or a submitted writing sample).
- Preferred familiarity with various special-status wildlife species and their habitats in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
- At least 4-8 years of relevant professional experience post-graduate degree, with a minimum of 1 year in a management capacity.
- Prior experience in authoring and editing technical reports, demonstrating exceptional writing proficiency (e.g., substantiated by transcripts, personal references, or a submitted writing sample).
- Proficiency in essential project management competencies such as personal organization, multitasking, critical thinking, and team communication skills.
- Preferably experienced in CEQA/NEPA documentation and consultations under the Federal Endangered Species Act (FESA) and California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
