Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead complex projects and drive client relationships. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and business acumen to deliver innovative water and wastewater solutions across Iowa.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Manage all phases of water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, and distribution systems.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative solutions.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical leadership in treatment system design, hydraulic analysis, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal water and wastewater regulations.
- Conduct technical reviews to maintain high-quality project deliverables.
Client & Business Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities, including preparing proposals and presentations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Ensure knowledge sharing and best practices across project teams.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Licensure:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
- Proven track record of delivering successful projects, managing budgets, and leading teams.
Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Project).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
