Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer with 7-15 years of professional experience to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead design efforts on a diverse range of projects, including stormwater management, drainage, erosion control, and scour analysis. You will play a critical role in mentoring junior engineers and overseeing their professional development, while also maintaining a strong focus on delivering excellent project outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and analysis for water resources projects, including stormwater management, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control, and scour analysis.
- Ensure projects are designed to meet all regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and career development support.
- Review and manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project solutions.
- Support business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland is required.
- 7-15 years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on water resources.
- Strong expertise in stormwater management, drainage design, erosion and sediment control, and scour analysis.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficient in industry software (e.g., HY-8, SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
