Responsibilities:
- As a Traffic Engineer, you will be expected to coordinate with project teams to design and produce traffic engineering designs for design/build and other alternative delivery projects
- They analyze problems, determine root causes, and resolve design issues before they impact schedule and budget
- Conduct traffic operations and safety analysis, macroscopic to microscopic traffic simulation modeling, and various traffic engineering studies
- Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives for traffic signals, signing and striping, lighting/electrical, and ITS features to support cost estimating
- Execute final design of project traffic elements such as traffic signals, ITS, signing and striping, lighting/electrical, and maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans
