Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Associate Director to lead our office in Sydney. As a member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the office, managing a growing team of staff, and driving the continued success and growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the office, including design and project management of significant Urban Development projects including responsibility for civil works specifications, engineering reports and tenders.
- Manage staff workflows, resource allocation, and project assignments to ensure optimal productivity and performance,
- Manage the delivery of all design aspects of a project on time and to standards,
- Oversee and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to their professional development,
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting a positive work environment where staff feel valued and motivated,
- Undertake regular interface and liaisons with key clients and stakeholders,
- Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes and
- Maintain client relationships to develop long-term, sustainable working relationships which deliver repeat business.
About you:
- A minimum of 15 years of civil design experience with at least 5 years of local experience,
- Strong people management and leadership skills,
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and achieve results in a competitive market,
- Degree in Civil Engineering,
- CPEng / NER accredited,
- Proficient in in 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC and AutoCad,
- Experience working on urban development projects,
- Proven ability to prioritse and manage multiple projects and deadlines at once,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially report writing,
- Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards and
- A positive attitude.
