Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering is essential, with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering highly regarded.
- Professional registration as a licensed Civil Engineer is mandatory, while a Structural Engineer license is notably favored.
- A rich professional history ranging from 5 to 10 years, with hands-on experience across diverse project scales, types, and construction materials such as timber, concrete, steel, and masonry.
- A solid grasp of engineering and construction principles, coupled with a proven track record of applying this knowledge effectively in practice.
- A keen learner with an ambition to acquire project-management skills and a personable approach to foster and maintain positive client relationships.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including REVIT, Excel, Enercalc, ETABS, RISA, SAFE, and RAM Steel is desired.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Demonstrate autonomy in design, organization, and technical tasks, executing work with significant independence.
- Display mature judgment in decision-making, problem-solving, budget oversight, and resource forecasting for projects.
- Manage projects of varying scope and complexity, both technically and financially.
- Uphold the highest standards of technical quality in project documentation, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule during design and construction phases.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to engineers across all experience levels.
- Lead and coordinate a team of design engineers and/or BIM staff for specific projects.
- Act as a primary client liaison, maintaining effective communication and updating clients on project progress.
- Engage in staff training, contributing to the collective knowledge and efficiency of the office and firm.
