Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems in healthcare and data center projects.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
- Provide support during the bidding process and participate in bid reviews and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical estimating, with a focus on healthcare and data center projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
